COVID-19 / Coronavirus Preparedness

UPDATE – January 3, 2022

Yes, we are open and ready to clean and sanitize!

At Triple C Power Washing & Window Cleaning, the health and safety of our customers and employees is our top priority.  As a trusted and established company, we continue to hold ourselves to the highest standards of safety and sanitation. We would like to keep our customers informed as to what we are doing to keep both your family and ours safe and healthy.

We are diligently watching all updates from the CDC and other reputable news agencies, and following all CDC guidelines, while continuing to provide the excellent service that you have come to expect from Triple C.

In addition, all of our technicians have been briefed on workplace preparedness for COVID-19 in accordance with OSHA guidance. Although this specific training has not been made mandatory by OSHA nor the CDC, we feel that it is in everyone’s best interest to remain educated and prepared through current events.

Under Executive Orders no. 107 and 108, issued by Governor Phil Murphy on March 21, 2020,Triple C Power Washing & Window Cleaning is deemed as an “essential business”.due to the sanitizing nature of our business.

Our exterior services, including soft wash house washing, deck / fence / concrete washing and no pressure roof cleaning are performed with industry standard soap and chemical mixtures. The base of all of these mixtures is 12.5% sodium hypochlorite, which is the active ingredient in bleach.

Sodium hypochlorite is listed by the EPA as an approved disinfectant for human coronavirus.

We use this chemical to remove mold, mildew and moss from structures, but in the age of COVID-19, there is an added bonus that our mixtures happen to disinfect any treated surfaces as well..

We are still able to safely clean your home and your windows exteriors!

To respond to the COVID-19 threat, we have taken  drastic steps  to ensure the safety of both our clients and our employees, including:

We have set systems in place to mitigate exposure to bacteria / germs / viruses over the years, but we will also be setting new precedents to further protect all involved. Some of these new services include:

– Between 3/22/2020 and 6/15/2020, we did not perform any interior work of any kind. We have been following the Government’s guidance as to whether or not it is safe to resume interior work, and at the time of writing (May 31st, 2020) we feel that the climate is appropriate to resume these services. Strict precautions will be taken to ensure the safety and well being of our employees and your family.

– In April, 2021 we incentivized full vaccination of our staff, bringing us to 80+% vaccination status. As a small company, we are unable to “force” employees to get vaccinated, but in offering monetary incentives and paid days off to recover from vaccine side effects, the majority of our staff happily complied.

– 2022 and Delta / Omicron Variants – We will continue our rigorous sanitation, testing and vaccine incentivization programs until this scourge (hopefully) calms down and either goes away or becomes endemic. We continue, and will continue to heed all state and federal CDC guidelines.

As of today (1/3/22) we are monitoring the Omicron situation to make a call on whether or not we will offer interior window cleaning in the first part of the 2022 season. We expect to make a call on this in early February.

CONTACTLESS SERVICE – As of January 2020, we have gone 100% paperless in order to do our part for the environment. In light of recent events, we worked with our CRM provider to make service and credit / debit card transactions contactless.

We do apologize, but Triple C will not be able to accept cash until further notice.

Typically, there would be minimal contact throughout our process, but there are certain points where a cell phone would change hands (for acceptance of service / electronic signature) and credit cards changing hands in the same manner at the completion of service.

When this method electronic signature on our technician’s phone will not be necessary, as an acceptance email will be sent instead. Also, we will be able to “key in” credit / debit card information remotely rather than swiping or dipping the card.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
– To further limit exposure to any, we will be following CDC guidelines in regards to social distancing. This includes giving our clients plenty of space, and banning handshakes for the time being. Additionally, we have directed our staff try to keep time inside a customer’s home to a minimum. We will not be taking on work that requires multiple employees too be inside a home for long periods of time. We apologize, but health is of utmost importance to us.

SANITIZING –
Any employees who perform interior services are now trained to sanitize their shoes and equipment between jobs with a quatenary ammonia solution to prevent any possibility of cross contamination between jobs. We will also be sanitizing any exterior door handles etc that we come into contact with.

Furthermore, we have stepped up our protocols for sanitizing our work vehicles and surfaces at our shop to further mitigate any possibility of spread.

HEALTH MONITORING – If any of our employees are sick, they will stay home. We pay our employees a good wage, and most are entitled to paid sick time through NJ’s recent laws, so we would rather not take any chances.

We do understand that allergy season is upon us and we will all be sniffling because of pollen soon. Luckily, COVID-19 symptoms do not present in a similar manner to seasonal allergies. We have worked to acquire enough rapid antigen tests to test employees that may feel under the weather to determine if they should be quarantined  or not, and we will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

We also ask that you let us know if you or anyone in your household is sick. This protects our family as well as yours. We will work with you to postpone your service until everyone feels better.

As we take these measures and more, please know that all of us at Triple C Pro Window Cleaning & Power Washing are ready, willing and able to support you and our community during this challenging time.

Please remember to support your local small businesses throughout these events. Small restaurants, boutiques, service shops and even cleaning companies are here and happy to serve you.

We’re all in this together; and as a small, family owned cleaning company, we will weather the storm together.  We will of course keep you updated with all need-to-know information as we move forward.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Thank you, and stay healthy!
